Sometimes a job just isn’t a job. It’s a place you come to learn something new, meet new people with the hopes that they turn into friends…and if you’re lucky, family. A place you love being at, makes you smile and going to work doesn’t always seem like a daunting chore.
You can definitely tell when someone loves what they do – they shine brighter than the sun and their energy is contagious. That ray of sunshine has is Jacqui and we are so thankful that she found us on her career journey in life. She absolutely loves being at Orfila and it shows!
Us: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what drew you into the wine industry?
Jackie: I was drawn to Orfila after working in the veterinary field for years. Not only is Orfila in my backyard, but my parents have been members here for a long time. I know have some amazing family friends due to this place.
Us: What part of being an Orfila Team Member do you love the most?
Jackie: What I love most about Orfila is how much we have fun, we are all passionate about wine and we laugh a lot!
Us: Tell us one interesting fact about yourself that we may not know.
Jackie: Working here has been a breath of fresh air. It gave me a new sense of what a career can be, although my plans have recently changed. I am leaving the winery to start my journey as a Coast Guardsman on October 19th. I will miss being at Orfila, the people and of course the wine!
