Meet our new Tasting Room Manager – Alyssa Daigneault!

We sat down and asked our new Tasting Room Manager, Alyssa, a few questions to try to get to know her a little bit better. Take a read and join us in welcoming her to the party!

Orfila: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what drew you into the wine industry.

Alyssa: I grew up in Temecula surrounded by wineries, but never thought I’d be working in the wine industry. I worked in the financial industry for years while I was attending college and made a career out of it. I was a Business Banking Manager covering a territory of financial center locations, when I decided to leave the industry all together. I had a bit of an “Eat, Pray, Love” moment in my life that forced me to take a major step back to reflect on what was really important to me. Wine was one of them, just kidding, but not really 😉

A friend of mine knew I was looking to do a complete 180 from banking and so she asked if I’d be interested in working at her winery. Equipped with nothing more than an affinity for drinking wine, I decided to go for it and absolutely fell in love. It’s been 6 years now that I’ve worked in the industry and I can say with confidence, I’ve barely scratched the surface on all there is to know about wine and to me, that’s very exciting.

Orfila: What part of being a Tasting Room Manager do you love the most?

Alyssa: I get the greatest satisfaction from helping and supporting my team to grow and develop, both personally and professionally.

Orfila: How has it been working here so far?

Alyssa: So far, it’s been great! For me, it’s the people I get to see every day that make me most excited to come to work.

Orfila: What new and exciting things should we be on the lookout for?

Alyssa:I’m really pumped to get the team excited about our wine and for them to share that excitement with our guests. I’m also looking forward to springing back from a year of isolation with live music, trivia nights, yoga in the vines, etc. Not to mention, expanding on ways for our guests to try our wine to find that perfect bottle (or bottles– no judgement here) to enjoy on our gorgeous patio or in the comfort of their home.

Orfila: Tell us one interesting fact about yourself that you probably shouldn’t tell us.

Alyssa: I get anxiety when I don’t have any snacks readily available to me, so I will always have secret snack stashes in my desk, my backpack, my car, etc. I think I may have been deprived of food in a past life or something and this is the residual effect of that!
