This August Orfila has an array of events for you to attend in both the Escondido and Oceanside locations. Below, you will find the list of events you can attend with your family and friends! You can purchase tickets in either tasting room, or online at http://shop.orfila.com/.
The first event of the month is Harvest in the Vineyard with Brian Robison, Botanist and Tasting Room Manager in Escondido. Join him on August 10th to take a tour through the vineyard and learn Orfila’s harvest process. The tour includes a glass of wine and a boxed lunch. If you decide to attend this event, please wear hats and sunscreen, and comfortable shoes for walking through the vineyard. $55/$50 for OWL – Includes a private educational tour, glass of wine and a boxed lunch.

A new and exciting addition to the events at the Oceanside tasting room is Salsa Sundays! This is a 2 hour long event where you get salsa lessons for the first hour, and the second is free, open dance! The first Salsa Sunday will be held on August 11th from 4-6PM. The second one is August 25th. $7/$5 for OWL

Going back to Escondido, there is a live book reading with author Shari Lyon, on August 17th from 11AM-12PM, in the tent. Shari will be reading “Toby Came Late” for young fans. There will be time for questions after the reading, and books may be purchased and signed by the author afterwards. ALL AGES are welcome to attend this free event.
Orfila’s most popular annual event is coming up this month in Escondido. The Orfila Grape Stomp, August 24th. There will be grapes to stomp, live music, lawn games, special guests, tractor rides, and more! This year we are partnering with Crown Point Catering, who will provide a smorgasbord of food for attendees. Your ticket includes all of this as well as a tasting of 5 wines, or a glass of wine. $95/$85 for OWL – Includes all activities, 5 tastings of wine or a glass, and food.
Orfila’s second Educational Wine Class will be this month as well. Oceanside’s class is August 16th at 4:30PM and Escondido’s class is Monday August 26th at 4:30PM. In this vertical tasting you will explore current vintages and compare them to previous of the same varietal, while learning how the wine develops as years pass by. $40/$35 for OWL – includes a vertical tasting and education on wine aging.
